Frequently Asked Questions
Is it necessary to register an account to place an order?
Yes, AiDEX is a medical device, all customers are required to register in order to ensure that their orders end up in the right hands.
Upon registration, you have easy access to all the information you need, including order history, invoices, and replacements and easy access to customer service.
How big is the AiDEX CGMS system?
The sensor and transmitter together is 36x22x8mm, The overall weight is less than 5.5g.
Where is the sensor data stored?
Glucose sensors measure your interstitial glucose level while blood glucose meters measure your plasma blood glucose level.
Most of the time glucose travels first to your blood and then to your interstitial fluid. Therefore, your BG meter readings and sensor glucose
readings will rarely match exactly "This is quite normal" When your blood glucose level is rising, your meter reading is higher than the sensor reading.
When your blood glucose level is dropping, your meter reading is lower than the sensor reading.
Thus, when using your CGMS, you should concentrate on trends and patterns instead of individual values.
Where can I wear the sensor?
AiDEX CGMS sensors may be inserted on the abdomen where you have some padding.
Sensor placement is important and you will want to change your insertion site with each sensor. Using the same site too often might not allow the skin to heal, causing scarring or skin irritation.
Choose a site:
At least 3 inches from any insulin pump infusion set or injection site
Away from waistbands, scarring, tattoos, irritation, and bones
Unlikely to be bumped, pushed, or laid on while sleeping.
What is the communication distance between my PDA/ smart device and transmitter?
Within 2 to 10 meters without obstruction. Your PDA/ smart device and transmitter communicate via Bluetooth Low Energy.
Please refer to our Compatibility devices for a list of compatible smart devices.
Make diabetes treatment decisions using a blood glucose meter (BGM) if the AiDEX App readings do not match your symptoms.
