Frequently Asked Questions

The AiDEX cgm system consists of three key components: a compatible smartphone or reader, a transmitter, and a disposable sensor that can be worn on the upper arm or abdomen.

The system sends glucose readings to the smartphone automatically. The sensor pack is used with an applicator to prepare the sensor for use, and the applicator aids in applying the sensor.

It is important to note that the sensor needs to be replaced every 14 days, while the transmitter can last for up to 4 years.

YES.

It is possible for children and young individuals to comprehend how their food intake, physical activity, and insulin usage affect their glucose levels and use this knowledge to make decisions regarding their daily therapy. However, it is essential for them to be under the supervision of an adult caregiver who is at least 18 years old.

The weight of the entire system, which includes both the sensor and transmitter, is under 5.2g.

The part of the sensor that is placed under the skin is less than 0.35mm wide and is only inserted about 6mm under the skin, which means that the majority of people won't even feel it while they are wearing it.

The AiDEX CGM system is a sensor that has been calibrated at the factory (factory calibrated) and has been demonstrated to effectively and safely substitute the regular self-monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG).

Once a Sensor is inserted, there are physiological changes that occur as the body adjusts to the presence of the Sensor. These changes are a natural response to the insertion and can differ from person to person. The adjustment period may not always be consistent for an individual. Typically, it takes about an hour for the body to equilibrate and for the system to provide precise glucose readings.

When scheduling a medical appointment that involves powerful magnetic or electromagnetic radiation, such as an X-ray, MRI, or CT scan, you must take off the AiDEX Sensor and transmitter and replace it with a new Sensor following the procedure to ensure accuracy.

AiDEX CGM is immune to mobile phone magnetic field.

Glucose levels can be gauged either from the bloodstream or from the interstitial fluid (ISF) encircling the body's cells. Although there is a delay of 5 to 10 minutes in the response of ISF glucose to changes in blood glucose, this delay is unlikely to have any impact on routine daily treatment decisions. The AiDEX CGM system has an average lag time of about 5 minutes.

Even when ISF glucose and BG measurements are taken simultaneously, they may not always match and are likely to differ.
