Listed below are some of the most common questions we get from Equil users

Frequently Asked Questions

When wear it outside in cold weather, the insulin pump needs to be
covered with warm clothing. In warmer environments, measures must be taken.

Insulin can freeze at low temperatures or degrade at high temperatures

Use medical alcohol to wipe and disinfect. Avoid using lighter fluid, nail polish remover, paint thinner, etc.
to scrub the surface. When wiping, ensure that the pump body cap has been
installed to avoid moisture.

Do not use any kind of lubricant. Keep the PDA test strip port area clean. Do not steam or autoclave the insulin pump or portable controller.

If it is not used temporarily, it should be placed in a cool, dry,
clean, well-ventilated, non-corrosive gas environment. And if not used for a long time, the battery should
be stored separately from other components.

Avoid placing the insulin pump or portable controller in
environments with temperatures above 40°C or below 0°C.

The patch pump is rated IPX4 (splashproof). Do not bathe, swim, or
otherwise immerse your pump in water. If you accidentally soak the pump with water, it may not function correctly. But don't worry. You can easily disconnect Equil at the touch of a button. When bathing or swimming, Equil should be suspended and the pump removed from the base. Reapply Equil to the base after you finish your activities to resume insulin delivery.

The PDA is not splashproof, and thus should be kept away from water
at all times.

Your pump leaves nothing to chance. Insulin is delivered in a consistent and accurate manner. Thanks to the innovative stepper motor, Equil has a delivery pulse that is smaller than other patch pumps. Insulin delivery can be set precisely down to 0.025 units, giving you even more control over insulin delivery.

DONT: The insulin pump cannot be subjected to strong radiation/ magnetic field. In the such cases, please remove the pump body and keep it together with the controller.

DO: Acceptable for security metal detection doors and hand-held metal detector inspections.
